Network

Train2Target Network

The members of the Train2Target consortium have been carefully selected to bring together a multidisciplinary, intersectorial and international network that offers the best response to the scientific, economic and so-cietal challenges.
The Train2Target network meets the high demand for highly qualified staff in Europe`s biotech and pharma sector active in antimicrobial drug discovery by conducting frontier fundamental research in microbiology and contributing to commercial antibacterial discovery programmes. To achieve this, we have brought together seven academic leaders in the bacterial envelope field and seven companies with different antimicrobial research programmes and strategies as well as biochemical, genetic and other screening technologies.

Beneficiaries

Our 11 Beneficiaries (B) from 8 different countries employ the 15 Early Stage Researchers (PhDs) for 3 years each. They closely collaborate on different research themes, offer joint training activities for the PhDs and researchers outside the Train2Target network, and co-supervise the progress of the doctoral theses.

Partner Organisations

The Partner Organisations (P) offer specialised training for example in form of internships, courses and workshops in their respective field to give the PhD a competitive advantage.
